Service Description

In this class, you have the opportunity to learn from three of our SDDT Company Dancers! Teachers will rotate every 2 weeks. Cecily's Class: The class will include a warm-up, movement that incorporates foundational modern principles and technique, and will conclude with phrase work to pull it all together. We will be exploring fluidity, musicality, alignment, awareness, fun, and efficiency. This class is designed for dancers looking for low stakes technique and some room to explore their own approach to movement. Luci's Class: This class will begin with a progressive warm up that has combinations sprinkled in. We will incorporate across the floor sequences, and conclude with phrase work that includes previously introduced movement. Throughout class, we will explore various techniques and movement qualities involved with Contemporary/Modern dance. Bring your body, your smile, and your heart to learn, and we will grow in our movement together. Isabel's Class: Class involves a full warm up and across the floor in preparation for choreography during the latter part of class. You will explore finding opposing textures in the body; alternating between fluidity and sharpness, or suspension and release. Expect a strong emphasis on musicality, finding full pathways and intentionality of movement.
